AADPC – Logo and visual identity

Logo and visual identity design for AADPC, the historic trade association founded in 1981, a key reference in Catalonia for professionals in the performing arts, audiovisual, and dubbing sectors.

During the brainstorming phase, it was decided to adopt a completely new visual identity, without any reference to elements of the old logo. This choice aimed to strongly emphasize the profound organizational change taking place within the Association.

The new logo is based on a monogram that merges the letters “A” and “D” (Actor/Actress and Director), reinforcing the Association’s name. The interlocking of these two highly stylized letters creates a symbolic counterform that evokes the sharp light cone of a stage, visually synthesizing the essence and mission of AADPC.

At an advanced stage of the redesign process, when the new brand had already been approved, the Association decided to modify its name, explicitly removing the term “Actor.” Despite this change, the symbol retained its full communicative effectiveness, as its expressive value does not rely on words but exclusively on its visual and conceptual strength.

Furthermore, the simplicity and geometric precision of the logo allowed for the development of a dynamic and versatile visual system, characterized by a variety of signs and colors for communication and various applications.
